Whether fiddling or just fiddling around, we embrace life. We grow and endure with the same strength that represents our beautiful land. We are people of the mountains...and we like it that way!

The Galax Leaf, for which the City of Galax, Virginia was named, grows in the mountainous regions around Galax near the Blue Ridge Parkway. The word Galax is derived from the Greek word, gala, meaning milk. The plant's bloom resembles a stream of flowing milk. The heart-shaped leaf, growing from it's own stem, each root sending up from five to eight leaves, forms a carpet of waxy green in summer and a rich bronze in winter.
